Acting Technique I & II
Jacqueline Jacobus has worked in New York City and regionally in roles that have spanned the classical repertoire to contemporary and as well as brand new works. Favorite roles have included Laura in The Glass Menagerie, Nina in The Seagull, Armande in Cabal of Hypocrites, Princess of France in Love’s Labour’s Lost, Puck in A Midsummer’s Night Dream, Kim in Mama Sang the Blues.
She has also appeared in TV and Film. Most recently she played Marty in Annie Baker’s Circle, Mirror, Transformation, Amanda in Tennessee Williams’ Glass Menagerie, and One in I Can’t Imagine Tomorrow by Tennessee Williams.
Her training began at Circle in the Square with teachers Nikos Nikos Psacharopoulos, Jacqueline Brookes and Therese Hayden. She went on to study with Lee Strasberg in his private class, as well as working with Stella Adler, Uta Hagen, and Kim Stanley. She is a lifetime member of the Actors Studio, a member of the Ensemble Studio Theater, and of Polaris North.
